To see my daughter laying next to her on her bed tonight was heart breaking. Penny is like her second mother, my daughter has always called her Mommy Penny! Especially since we just lost our dear friend Cathy a little over a year ago of lung cancer and my daughter was very close to her too. So this is hard, real hard.
Sometimes I have to wonder why, I don't even know what to think. I do know, that I am very sad.

I am so very sorry!! We don't know why things like this happen, and I'm not going to say all the cliches. I will just empathize with you. My mom had lung cancer. They removed one half of one lobe of her lung and got it all, and she was in her 80's. When she finally did die, it was not from lung cancer. This is a blow, but I know she will come through fine, and they will get it all, and I know you will be strong for her, she is so very blessed to have you, you are her angel.
I am so sorry to hear of Penny's diagnosis. I will keep her in my prayers!
